I'd have to agree with John's Place but what's a "leaving drink"?

It is an open area and as such there's a lot of smoking in close vicinity, which might bother some people. Other than that I think John's Place is a great location (especially if you have a 20% discount card). biggrin.png

What time are you plannign for? Early evening? Later? Should there be food?

John's place does have food but it seems a little hit and miss these days. Used to be very good.

Do I understand correctly that you will be inviting friends? Mixed age/male/female I assume, or a pack of mongers?

The Old Bell is well chilled but of your insisting on Thaepae Gate the food in the Blue Mango is fantastic, it's between Johns Place and Top North Hotel.
