Hello everyone!

My wife and I are US Citizens and have travelled much to and throughout Thailand. We want to bring our two juvenile nieces to Thailand for a 2 week visit. I have seen where they can get a visa upon entry like US citizens but I also see that they may need to show bank documents, I assume cash in the bank.

Question, when accompanied by me and my wife, AND that they are under age, 16 and 13, is this still a requirement? If so what exact bank records are needed? and how much?

We think that a trip like this is very educational for them as well as fun.

Thank you in advance.

There is almost no chance they will be asked if with you. The requirement is to have cash for paying for your visit so cash/credit card is the normal requirement (getting from an ATM if you not have in wallet). But it is not asked of probably 99% of travelers unless really appear down and out.

Don't forget to have written permission from the parents to take he children out of the country. Not sure how strict the US is, but better be safe than sorry.
