So, we think we have everything collected to apply for the settlement visa for my wife to move to the UK with me this summer.

All the online forms filled out, all the paperwork is ready. We apply early next week.

In summary, i will be providing the following;

* Copies of Electronic Bank statements for my savings account since the account was opened 6mths ago - with more than the required amount for the application

* Copies of my Stock trading account Electronic statements showing i've owned assets (now liquidated into the saving account) for the past 12 months

* Original Letter from my Bank (in Singapore) stating the account history and balance on the date the letter was issued (3rd May)

* Copy of the Letter of Invitation from my sister inviting us to stay with her in the Family home in the UK

* Description of the Family home and who lives there.

* Copy of my Sisters Passport (she is the one inviting us - but she doesn't own the house, that's my Aunt)

* Copy of Council tax bill

* Original letter supporting my wife's application, detailing our relationship history (when we met, when we moved in together, when we married etc)

* 2 Copies E-Tickets showing we traveled within Thailand together (as in two separate trips dated 2010 and 2011)

* 1 Copy of E-Tickets showing we have traveled to the UK together in December 2012

* Copies of Passports, Work permits with all relevant stamps

* Original Letter from my employer stating when i started, my position and salary and acknowledging my resignation, stating my last working date

* 15 photos of us together - which span over 3 years - however i cannot prove the dates on the photos

* Original Salary slips for the last 6 months to prove i have received an income (shouldn't be needed as i have enough savings to satisfy the financial requirements)

* Original House contract with both of our names on the contract (not her as a witness, shes actually named on the contract) - this contract however doesnt expire until Feb 2014 (will that be a problem?)

My wife will be providing the following;

* Original Marriage Cert in Thai - translation into English, notorised by the Office of Foreign Affairs (or whatever its called)

* Copies of her passport and ID card

* Copies of her Educational qualifications

* Originals of photos from our wedding

* English test results which exceed the minimum English levels

* TB Certificate

* Original and Copy of the House Registration (mothers house) with her name in it.

* Bank account details showing she has some savings, statements and letter from her bank stating her account status, balance etc (this isn't required, i don't think)

* Letter from her Ex-Employer stating her employment history with them (again not needed i do not believe, but as she worked in the media we wanted to supply it as well)

* There are more documents, but i forget what exactly - will add them to the list later.

We will present originals of Passports, ID cards etc when we submit the visa application, but as i am working out a notice period and my work visa will be cancelled in a month i don't want to leave my original passport with them.

My wife has studied and traveled before in Europe and has been to the UK once before with me (recently) - based on the above documentation, can anyone see anything we have missed or forgotten? I know there are many factors in play with the visa application, but based on the above do you think our application would be considered 'healthy' enough. I exceed the financial requirements by a factor of x3 and have owned the assets for over 9 months, liquidated them in December 2012 and they are on-hand anytime i need them. So i am confident i satisfy the financial side of things, whilst i have no original statements (its all e-banking) i do have the original letter from the bank stating the account balance and the date the account was opened. That should be enough from what i read.

Any advice or suggestions on what else needs to be supplied?

Looks good. Don't you have more than 15 photos together tho, can you give more youn think?

Just saying, we gave about 70 photos together all from different time and different locations. We also put all our photos in a Folder in date order of our relationship. 60% had dates on them.

The only thing I can see may be a problem,is : "Copies of Electronic Bank Statements for my savings Account" Presumably you are referring to an online Savings Account? as I recall Bank Statements had to be original,ordered from your Bank,download copies were not allowed.

Towards the end you also stated (it's all ebanking) referring to your statements,most Banks will provide you with six months Bank Statements free of charge,which I would strongly advise giving them a call,and request the originals,for the last six months.

Good Luck

Just to say my bank statments were printed off of the internet and accepted.

I was in Thailand at the time and they wanted the last 6 months.

I had online access to the my UK Nat West account.

It was 4 years ago but if they were good then thay should be OK now Cannot see why not. I no longer get paper statements anymore unless I ask for them..

Up to you.

The rules changed fairly recently, MAJIC has given up to date advice.

I actually delayed the submission and changed some of the documentation.

* Bank certified Statements (original bank stamp and signature on every page)

* Got the letter of invitation changed to the owner of the house instead of someone living there

* Land Registry entry for the property to prove the owner

* Letters from the Land Registry office to the owner regarding transfer of deeds etc (just after the mortgage was cleared)

* Copy of the Passport of the owner

* various utility bills for the house in question with the owners name on them

The Rest of the documentation is as per my first post. I felt that delaying this a few days and getting what i feel is better documentation was worth it.

Application submitted on the 10th May - Advised it can take *upto* 15 weeks to process
