May 12, 201313 yr I brought a 2010 Yamaha Noveru in November of that year. I have 8,500 K on bike now. Yesterday I got a big nail in the front tire and took it to local Mityon dealer in Pattaya. I was told it could not be fixed so I asked about price of new tire. I was quoted 830 bt. Very cheap so I had him also do the rear tire also at 900 bt. Total 1,730 bt for both new tires. I am just curious if this low price is because it is still under warranty (3-year) even tho the one tire was because of running over a nail? These were Dunlop tires (80/90-16). Thanks.
May 12, 201313 yr I am just curious if this low price is because it is still under warranty I don't consider the price low. Or high or... Just the going rate for two local Dunlop tires. I have paid a little more for a Bridgestone BT-39SS rear but even then not low nor high.
May 12, 201313 yr Author Hi thanks for information. I guess I did not realize that tires were that inexpensive. First time I had to buy them.
May 12, 201313 yr Good deal, I had a nail go through the tread and sidewall on the rear IRC a while back and paid 1700 for another IRC. It was to far to push the scooter to Mityon anyway!
May 14, 201313 yr 1700 is the average going price for the stock Dunlops (Pattaya area) so you were quoted correctly.
May 15, 201313 yr Tyres aren't covered by warranty unless it's a recall issue They have a concrete warranty. Once you leave the showrom concrete, the warranty is finished
May 15, 201313 yr Bike tires are cheap but I find automobile tires expensive. Sent from my i-mobile IQ 6 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
