Help Me Plan My Trip In Macau

Recommended Posts

grantsmith thanks yeah I will be taking a taxi and I got a few luggages, thanks for the heads up.

oldchinaham thanks for your input, so food is great there? nice I like good food. yeah I already booked my hotel from agoda, and speaking of deals is there a site I can go for discounts, deals, coupons for Macau? like casino shows, casino restaurants, etc etc

Do you think it will be ok for me to wear shorts in casinos? not for gambling but to walk around and check out the casino, maybe eat.

also seems like everyone say don't rent a scooter, just walk or take bus. my hotel is in the mid of the Macau island so I will walk everywhere there, but for taipa and coloane I will get a taxi, I don't like buses, lol I never really take any buses before to anywhere. so for Taipa and coloane what are the main attractions there? oh where is the beach

so I will be in Macau for 3.5 days, about what % of time I will be spend in Macau Island, Tapia and Coloane? most of the stuff are on Macau island I think

The open air swimmimg pool on Choc Wan ( Bamboo Beach ) is a very nice setting in the summer and there is an Italian restaurant next door . I used to take the bus to the zoo on Coloane with my son , then we'd walk over the hills following the path to the south side of the island and Choc Wan or Hac Sa beaches . Nice View over into China and across the South China Sea . I would go up to the Macau light house (see if you can find my avatar ) in the late evening by means of cable car and walk down from there by the road , this bring you into Thai Town where you can have some som tam and beer .

Maritime museum near the goddess of the sea temple.

Hill walks around Coloane.

Macau tower.

Fernando's is for tourists. MANY great eateries with very diverse styles all over the SAR.

Buses are a great way to travel from the mainland to Taipa,Cotai,Coloane. Easy to use and regular.

Smoking in Casinos:

"Half of the public space in Macau's casinos will be closed off to smokers as of this month under the tobacco control law approved by the Legislative Assembly last year, reports the Macao Daily Times."
