T V Signal Booster And Splitter

Featured Replies

Basement Big C Phuket Town (bypass road) - Amorn.

Thats always the answer. :P

Or get the cable company to do it for you. Though they will subsequently charge an additional fee for the extra TVs on which you are using their signal.

Thanks guys.

Ah yes, Southern Dynatech - near Dibuk Road, has lots of speakers and other stuff in the window.

and Amorn, of course.

I'll be going to town tomorrow so I'll have a look then.

Supercheap have them about 150 baht also Amorn Big C

Southern Dynatech - don't have powered ones, to provide extra gain

Amorn - ditto

At 150 baht, I would think Supercheaps are also not powered, so signal loss would occur.

I will visit some satellite shops to see if they know where to get them.

Aah - with booster ? Never seen that here in Phuket. You need to buy a booster as extra piece of kit.

Not sure about the boaster with cable, I have 3 tvs just with the spliter, in fact one is a simple twist together job and all have good pictures rolleyes.gif

Sure, a splitter is fine in a simple configuration and end signal level will depend of length of cables. I would welcome a supply source of splitter with signal booster as in my building we split down at least twice and even 3 times. One split into apartment, the another split to bedrooms. I use a separate booster when signal gets too weak.

Can you say where you got the separate booster?

I actually bought a 3-way splitter form Amorn but haven't tried it yet because the connections are smaller and I have to do some modifications to the cables.

In the UK, I had a powered 6 way TV booster/splitter in the loft and sent the signals to TVs in 5 rooms. I wish I'd brought it here. sad.png

I had KPP install a splitter to my living room and bedroom. It wasn't much for the installation. Same price per month. But if there is a problem, they come and fix it! No charge. They replaced my splitter and a bad piece of cable. It still isn't great, but better than me climbing up in the attic!

I buy signal boosters at Pon Electric on new Junceylon Road, right side about 75m before Patong Hospital. He sells a good range of splitters.
