I keep getting mis addressed mail sent to my residence. How do I mark the mail 'return to sender'? I can read and write a little Thai so what is the thai for this?. Do I have to visit a thai post office or can I just drop it in the mailbox. When I visit a post office and tell them the mail is wrongly addressed I mostly get blank stares and they seem to just drop it back in the regular mail. Sometimes the same mail comes back. Any ideas on this?

Always take ours back to the main post office and explain, not stay my house, never a problem and never see it again. The other alternative is your international filing system! ( the bin )

"Return to Sender" is not the correct endorsement anyway.

If you receive mail addressed to you personally, and you don't want it, the correct endorsement is "Refused".

If you receive mail addressed to someone who no longer lives there or you don't know, the correct endorsement is "Not at this address".

If you receive mail in your box that is addressed to a different address, you do not write on the mail, but return it to the mailstream, whether at a drop box or the post office.

Send it to ANYBODY in the Philippines or Madagascar. You'll NEVER see it again. That's a promise.

But Hal, these responses will not let the sender know that the mail (including billing) has not been received by the person addressed.

You think the Thai postman can read English?

I've seen it all now.!

It's easy: Let your Thai-GF-Wife take care of it.

If she can't do it, get another Thai-GF-Wife with advanced intelletcual skills.

Cheers.
