Haiter Bleach

Featured Replies

What exactly is Haiter bleach, which is available here in Thailand?

Is it only used to get rid of stains? How do you use it? Add to the washing machine? And in what quantity is it used. Does it harm the fabric if left too long or used undiluted?

Hi soreia

Haiter is a sodium hypochlorite solution and as such is a strong sterilizing and bleaching agent. Undiluted it shall rip most colours from fabric in minutes -- it shall also damage most fabrics in pretty short order.

Even at the low concentration in Haiter (6 %) sodium hypochlorite demands care in use. Certainly dilute Haiter with cold water before adding to the washing machine. I would start at about 5:1 (water:Haiter).

The instructions (in Thai) on the bottle detail most applications and dilutions.

Haiter = bleach

Sanitize and brighten clothes

General sanitation

Purify water

Do not use bleach on colored clothes!!! There is special Haiter for clothes with color/s.

Both types are available everywhere. Do not use the colored or scented types for water purification or food containers.
