Burglary Victim Says City Volunteer Took Her Cash
Police arrested a thief who burglarized 6 rental rooms and stole properties worth almost 100,000 baht. But one victim complained that 10,000 baht of her stolen cash had disappeared. She accused a civil volunteer handling the stolen evidence of taking it, which he denied.

PATTAYA – May 15, 2013 [PDN]; A report of a burglar being caught and detained in an apartment building was received by Pol. Col. Winai Sanitpan, vice suppression inspector of Pattaya police station, Chonburi.

The incident occurred at the Putong Apartment building, number 322/4, in the middle of soi 13, next to Pattaya Second Road, moo 10, Nongprue, Banglamung, Chonburi.

When they reached the crime scene, officers found the burglary suspect being detained by Mr. Prasert You-orn, the security guard of the apartment, assisted by a good citizen. Two victims were also waiting for the police.

The thief was identified as Mr. Wutichai Boonkert, 19 years old. Police seized the evidence, which included a pair of locking pliers that he used to break open rooms.

The recovered stolen property included several items in a shoulder bag and a plastic bag seized from the suspect. Recovered were 4 iPhones, a Samsung mobile phone, 2 iPods, an iPad, an Apple notebook, 5 wristwatches, a digital camera, 23 Buddha amulets, 12,000 baht in cash, and 4,800,000 Dong (Vietnamese money).

19 year old arrested after 6 rooms broken-into at South Pattaya apartments

PATTAYA:--A 19 year old man, who had recently been released from Prison where he served time for burglary, was caught at a South Pattaya apartment complex early on Wednesday Morning after allegedly breaking into 6 rooms and stealing valuable items including phones and money.

Police were called to the Putong Apartments in Soi 13 off Pattaya Beach Road just after 3.30am and arrested Khun Wutichai aged 19. He was initially detained by a security guard who seized a bag full of stolen items and a set of wire cutters which was used to break into a total of 6 rooms, most of them normally occupied by foreigners.

The suspect, stolen items and a number of occupants including an American Resident, made their way to Pattaya Police Station. Police logged all the stolen items including mobile phones,
