Samui Coconut
Most (and I am not speking for myself) are renting single houses (usually as part of a compund) with either 1,2 or 3 bedrooms at a price of Baht 5,000 -15,000 Baht. Some compounds have pools, electricity is usually seperate, so is water.
phetphet
You might want to check some of the rental companies websites for "long term" rental prices. I am not sure if allowed to post names of such companies on this site (such as Kalara or Samui Connection). There are always signs advertising places for rent on my bike rides around Plai Laem /Tongsai. Probably best to rent something for a month while you get your bearings, and find an area you like. Rooo
So, we are looking at an average of 10-20k from most of the posters? No, these are not bench marks. depending on your individual needs & tastes. As previously mentioned, rent for a month, have a look around then make up your mind. Determining factors, transport, location, proximity to beach etc.......................................
