Digital Scales

Featured Replies

I am tired of the cigs available in this country. I used to import Indonesian cigarettes when I lived in Oz (better taste and much cheaper even with the extortionate customs and excise duties). They are not available here so I have decided to make my own. Where in Chiang Mai can a buy a set of digital scales - measuring down to 0.1 of a gram increments - so I can perfect the mix of tobacco, cloves, sugar, cinnamon and dried lime peel, maybe a bit of lemongrass, as I have heaps in the yard?

In view of the slack response so far.......maybe find someone who sells spark plugs

I think the food specialty accessory Yok has them.

Maybe just the main store on the superhighway. I recall seeing one there. It's south of the Arcade bus station.

All the bicycle stores have them to weigh parts so could ask them also.

Global house has them usually near the cash register

Sent from my i-mobile IQ 6 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

i found them to be a bit pricey .... compared to USA prices... almost anything related to cookware (and small scales like that are commonly used for weighing cooking ingredients) is way overpriced here...

anyways... we ordered our scale (and other kitchenware) from HK and save a bundle... but it does take time to get here... usually 3 week minimum

Gold shops all have them. Drop in to one near you and ask them where they got their scale.

Bought mine last year Makro, Hang Dong Road. Displayed ground level last row bread section. If no longer there go upstairs near calculators.

Good Luck

those ones from the office supply stores are surprisingly accurate. Some will do tenths.

You can get what I presume to be chinese ones for 800-1,000 baht or so, at some of the places mentioned above. You can also get them at Robinsons at the Airport Plaza, including Tanita brand ones, which I think are Japanese, for probably 1,500-2,000 baht. I've had one of the latter for a year or two and it's been reliable.

Try the medical supplies stores - near Wat Suan Dok on Suthep Road and just south of the entrance to Wat Pra Singh.
