"Chalerm does not need to have six Articles in the bill - two is enough: Article one says Thaksin can do nothing wrong, and Article two says if he does, look at Article one,'' Thepthai said.

Holy sh*t, that is some real Pol Pot stuff. Year zero is approaching quickly.

Threw up in my mouth a little bit on that one. For a country based upon saving face, does the government have any idea how badly moronic statements like this one play out in the foreign press ???? Regarding this appointment, clearly this is part of the new " cabinet appointments for fools" program. Based upon that, where is a post for Jatuporn's wacko associate Arisman, Mr. million liters of gas and burn down Bangkok ??

I smell coup on the way, which is the classic reaction when the current government goes berserk with power and looting......

Just rewards for throwing HIV infected blood at people's houses and threatening to derail the BTS. Good job PTP!

I believe the blood in question was sourced from pigs and was not infected with HIV.

Also water with red dye and sugar was used. This made it difficult to clean up.

A coup will only occur if the military has a palable fear of being pushed away from the trough. At this time, the military has never been treated better. Also, there has been a shift in the military. Officers of the rank Colnel and below can no longer be counted upon to support a coup. The chances of a counter coup are greater than ever before. There is a real animosity to the bloated group of generals, as there is little chance for the junior officers to move up and a counter coup could remove hundreds of people that could not otherwise be moved out.

My dear kiddo, you may believe what you want to believe, but it would seem that facts are slightly different. Now of course 'if' only non-human blood would have been used some of the thousands of donors might be just a wee bit piss_ed off.

"Lab tests at three different hospitals all show that the blood used in the red-shirt protest carried the HIV, hepatitis B and C viruses, Vajira Hospital's director Chaiwan Charoenchokthavee said yesterday.

...

Last month, thousands of red-shirt demonstrators gave blood to the cause of forcing the government to dissolve the House, despite warnings from various health authorities. The blood collected was used to spatter Government House, the Democrats Party headquarters and Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva's house."

Unless you are saying that the blood drawn from these people is fake or that the people are fake, I believe it's over the top to call these people "pigs"

The same number as those of actual pigs depicted in the linked video getting blood taken.

Uncle Rubl 1, GKid 0.... It was real blood , and anyone living here that could read the news knew that. Surprised to see GKid throw out false information about pigs. Or was that tongue and cheek humor used? Sigh, so tricky to tell on TV...

Regarding the " military" and perceived levels of happiness at lower ranks, hard to figure that one out. For me I just look at the past to see what is going to happen next. Historically in Thailand when the pigs at the feeding trough start to get crazy and start knocking the feeding trough around, time for the military to step in so a new set of quieter pigs can take over.

Regarding the concept of a bloated generals roster, that is putting it kindly. 1600 military generals in a country that has neither attacked nor defended itself militarily in modern history is pretty bizarre. No wonder there is no room for junior people to move up....

But anyway, appointing wackos like Jatuporn to a position of power as a reward for his red shirt rabble rousing, is not a good sign for the future.

Rumour has it even Police Generals have to look around for better opportunities although some BKK voters people rejected the idea

An extraordinary insight into the Thai military there. Indeed possibly only matched by one time poster Calgary's amazing inside info on the red shirts.

Who says TV's ex pats don't understand Thais.

...says the man who supports the bloated Jatuporn and Thaksin's bloated cash giveaways for buying off Thai state institutions.

Why do people keep on fretting about how things 'play out in the foreign press'. So silly. Do you think the US and other states get their intelligence from newspapers? Do you think the Thai government seeks international sanction as a justification for its domestic policies? How naive.

Either take notice of what the Thai people themselves want, or quit the armchair forecasting. You, and me and other TV'ers, are nothing to Thailand compared to what the electorate at large wants. Even foreign governments have their secondary place next to the most important way of getting power - the Thai people. Sure, Thai politics may seem like a ship of fools, but you too are on that ship and your future existence on it is governed to some degree by them. Accept it. Whinging about it to similarly disenfranchised aliens on the internet just seems like a waste of your life's time. Go and enjoy yourself, while you still can!

Had a bit of trouble working out just what you were trying to say but it seems that you mean that the Thai people want people like Jatuporn running the country.

Well if you were to look around right now you would see that there are far more groups coming out and complaining about the things this Govt is doing than there are red shirts and others supporting them.

Elite groups like farmers and poor, local body administrators, those who are going to be affected by the Govts new dams and don't forget the elderly from Phitsanalok who were given rotten rice.

That is only a few but read the news and you can make up your own list.

Just rewards for throwing HIV infected blood at people's houses and threatening to derail the BTS. Good job PTP!

I believe the blood in question was sourced from pigs and was not infected with HIV.

Also water with red dye and sugar was used. This made it difficult to clean up.

Some of the blood was sourced from the protesters. There were videos and photos of the it being collected.

Also, according to tests by Mahidol Uni, it was tainted HIV and Hepatitis.

Wouldn't it be nice if he was asked to enforce Thailand's laws in respect to immigration, prostitution and alcohol?

He could start with Pattaya and then move on to Phuket. That would give some foreign guests something to squeal about. smile.png

Yes and please stop people from bitting their finger nails or pissing on toilet seat... and stop leaving dirty dishes in the sink!

Gkid, you are either a liar, a person with bad memory or somebody who has no clue what has happened from 2008-2010.

Of course such a cabinet post is not really a job only a chance for him to pick up a pay check.

Oh sure he may be given a press release to read now and again to make it look like he is useful but that is about all.

To say he deserves the post because of what he did in the past is a bit like making someone the managing director of a company because they helped your grandmother cross the road.

And he is not the only one there are a whole bunch of others in the cabinet at present who are also there as a reward for previous services rendered along with some as quota from coalition partners as an inducement to join PT in order to prevent them being any sort of opposition.

Very few of them with any clue of what they are supposed to do.

But then I suppose they don't have to know when everything is directed from half way round the world

This moron should be in jail, he shouldn't be anywhere near a government position. This is exactly the sort of appointment that shows what PTP really is.

It's inconceivable the opposition will idly stand-by and let him be a minister.

Recently he allowed nation reporters into his main residence and showed a valuable collection of relics and amulets. Asked how he came into possession of them

"It is strange. They just came to me. One time I thought before I went to bed that I'd like to have a sculpture of King Taksin the Great for me to worship. In no time, even before I woke up in the morning, someone called me and told me that he would give me this sculpture," he said.

In the same interview, as if in a grave-digging frenzy, he also boasted his mate Nuttawut got his fair share given to him also.

Never mind an achilles heel, just having this farcical story as to how he/they became wealthy, must prove terminal.

This shows that YS has taken sides (finally she has made it public, in fact her speech in Mongolia was the first step) with the Reds. All that blah blah I am the PM for everybody is now out of the window. YS is preparing for "war" and finally showing her true color.

"Sister, quickly get the Reds on your side before we can't control them anymore". "Got it bro!.

Yes the clown also said that its value was not important and in fact not known. How convenient!
