Ive just come across this CAT WiFi web page that I had not seen before the thing I'm wondering is if you want to use this service at home , how would you know if your location is within the CAT WiFi service range . Does any one know a bit more about this CAT WiFi service ?


Its in Thai , but google translate is not so good

I think this is just another public WiFi service, perhaps funded by the MICT ("SMART Thailand"), allowing both CAT and TOT (and others) to offer WiFi services, both free to some schools, and also paid services. There were supposed to be 200,000 APs, in 77 provinces back when this was launched last year. The pricing looks similar to True Wifi and 3BB WiFi.

how do you know if you are in a service area before you buy a card ?

how do you know if you are in a service area before you buy a card ?

It should show on your available Wi-Fi network list along with the strength of the signal. (Assuming you are using Windows 7 or above).

If you don't see the availability of the service, don't buy a card.
