Tourist Visa Run Agency From Nakhon Ratchashima (Korat).... Need This Weekend... Asap...

Featured Replies

I need to travel to Laos or where ever is best to obtain a tourist visa. Is there a visa run agency in Nakhon Ratchasima?...

Also, is it possible to get a tourist visa from Ranong?...

I have to make the run this weekend.. so any quick suggestions would be greatly appreciated..

You must visit a Consulate outside of Thailand for a tourist visa (or are you just talking about a visa exempt entry of 15 days with a border crossing)? So for a tourist visa (one or two entry) your best bet is a bus to Nong Khai and then cross border to Vientiane to apply at Consulate. You submit in morning and pick up next workday afternoon. You can easily do yourself and do not know of any company doing this trip from your location.

@Lopburi3... thanks.. I guess I will be doing that this weekend... wish me luck...

I've done it through Hat Yai before.. but.. not this direction..

The embassy/consulates are not open on the weekends and will be closed on Friday since it is a holiday. The soonest that you could submit your app is Monday morning picking up the visa Tuesday afternoon.

Fear not, Nong Kai is a major crossing and lots of assistance if needed (from farangs as well as local touts.) At the Thai side of the bridge get a TM 6 card and fill it out like usual except the visa number(you will need it on return) and go through immigration. Once through immigration buy a ticket for the bus accross the bridge. On the Laos side immediately go to the window (it used to be marked 1) in the build to the left of the immigration booths and fill out a visa on arrival form. Have US dollar amount (depends on your nationality how much) ready and give it to to window 1 or 2 along with the visa on arrival form. Then wait around window 3 for your passport with visa. This takes awhile. Once you have your passport back you are clear to go to customs area (you do not need to wait in line for any more stamp.) Once past customs there will be ticket booths for the local bus and a lot of minivans to the city. I usually get a minivan for about 200 baht. I can not give much about getting your visa, but there are a lot of posts on this subject here on TV. Return is easy, just follow the crowd through Laos immigration, get a bus ticket and cross the bridge. You have your TM 6 already so just go through Thai immigration (be sure to use your new visa number on the TM 6.) There will be plenty of minivans and Tuktuks waiting to take you to Nong Kai or Udorn Thani. Its and easy run but does take some time. Have fun in Laos.
