And You Thought Thai Drivers Were Bad......no Comparison..

Featured Replies

Would have still passed the motorbike taxi test in Thailand !

Nice video, probably on drugs.

Other comparisons, try driving (or being a passenger):

- On a trip upcountry in the out of control provinces of the Philippines.

- At busy intersections in Delhi or other Indian cities - drivers (especially from rent a car agencies) just ignore the lights and the traffic going in the opposite direction and bluff their way across intersections.

- On business trip upcountry in Pakistan - our side of the road too busy so at the instruction of my client the driver jumped the minivan to the other side of the divided highway and proceeded to weave in and out vast oncoming traffic, all the time being told by my client that he was doing good.

Drove overland to India from the UK once - 40 years ago mind you, so may have changed. Having left Greece all the countries were an absolute nightmare in their own special ways (except Afghanistan where the roads were good and traffic light) - Turkey, Iran, Pakistan and India were all horrendous. In the European mainland Yugoslavia was also pretty dodgy on the main highway down the middle. Thailand is a haven of safety by comparison!
