how difficult is it to get a consultants visa?

like say, my current employer could pay my company a consultancy fee.

that way I will cover all my own taxes every month.

what do I need for this?

can I use my desk in my office as the address for my company?

do I need show staff for the visa? or can It just be me?

and if I do have to show staff, can I just have my thai friends on paper?

You would need a work permit and for that you need to have a Thai company, with Thai nationals holding the majority of shares and indeed you need to have some Thai staff.
