i got married and went and go the non immigration visa in singapore. i paid for visas at one time.

now i am back in thailand. the visa is good for 90 days.

when am i supposed to create the 400K baht bank account with my wife?

do i have to leave at the end of 90 days or can i extend this visa?

when i leave, can i return immediately and use my 2/4 visa?

thanks mates

If you want to extend and obtain the 1 years stay stamp then you need to apply for the extension of stay after 60 days of your present stay.

You can bring in the 400k at any point in time prior to your extension of stay application.

Not quite sure what you mean by 2/4 visa..............is it a multiple entry non immigrant visa you have?..............If it is and you do not want to extend but stay 90 days at a time then yes you can exit and re-enter immediately

If you do not extend but only stay 90 days at a time then there is no need to bring in the 400k this is only a requirement for the 1 year extension stamp.

The account should be in your name only, others have had a problem with joint accounts. :o

You and wife should visit immigration during the last 30 days of your current stay to extend on a yearly basis.

I also have no idea what you mean by 2/4 visa.

As long as the money comes from overseas there should not be a problem using a joint account but you could confirm that with a call to your immigration before you do the transfer if you want to be 100% safe. Several people have been told they could not use a joint account but I am not sure of the details. As long as the transfer is from overseas I can see no logical reason for a joint account to not be accepted.
