Pepper Sprays. Stun Guns.

Are either of these legal here? And/or is it legal to bring them in in one's luggage?

Do you really need them in Thailand.

If so you can purchase them easy enough but don't take them through the airport.

It could be a moot point, I agree. But if you live in a single house (not in a compound) and, more to the point, often leave a girlfriend alone there for sometimes weeks, it could be a consideration.

Where and how to find these in Thailand, if I may inquire?

At most markets, you will often see a table covered with a variety of nasty goods.

keep in mind the use of them got my other brother in law locked up last year and the Thai prison not pleasant.

If I was to protect myself in my home I would not go with pepper spay or a stun gun, you may come of second best still, arm yourself properly for the job.

You forgot to mention knuckle dusters and yes,all available on the street around Soi 4,Sukhumvit!

An excellent choice, for the immediate pain they can cause, but perhaps more importantly because they are difficult to take away, as opposed to the other items, meaning they can't be turned against you. They are also not easily noticed as things heat up.

Of course, you need to know how to punch, but one decent shot to the jaw or a rib is usually enough to deter most folks.

I have never seen pepper spray (OC) at the markets, only CN or CS which isn't as potent. Most of it looks old military or police surplus which means it's potency will be questionable at best. Pepper lasts only 2 years before losing efficacy.
