otherstuff1957 Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 A year and 1/2 since the meeting & she's suing now? I guess it's taken that long to get everyone's story straight: "Remember guys, we didn't talk about real estate, I didn't give out details about where future government projects would be located and we didn't agree on any prices or kickbacks."
rubl Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 It seems that the whistle blower on the 'Four Seasons' meeting hasn't been heard of since late Thursday, the other newspaper reports. That would be the real estate businessman Ekkayuth Anchanbutr whose also known to be a critic of Thaksin and the Pheu Thai party. K. Ekkayuth had a run-in with some in a coffeeshop in the hotel after seeing PM Yingluck, her MoF Kittirat and various business people gathering for a private government meeting. Allegedly that is. The meeting, not the missing since Thursday. Another website is now running this story. A critic of Thaksin (fair enough) who used to run a collapsed pyramid scheme (according to the other paper) has gone missing. I am sure he has no enemies, but it looks like you forgot that part of the post. My dear Smutty, I was referring to a breakingnews item from the other English Language Paper. Have a look and tell me where in that item you can find a reference to a pyramid scheme. There's only a reference to five million withdrawn just before his disappearance and family fearing Ekkayuth having been kidnapped by opponents. Furthermore I only referred to k. Ekkayuth as he was the whistleblower on the 'Four Season' cozy gathering which first didn't happen, then was denied, till at the end it was a government meeting with PM yingluck, Dept. PM and MoF Kittarat and a few real-estate tycoons to 'exchange ideas' and 'hear new ideas'. So very unimportant that PM Yingluck could miss another day in parliament for this.
kuthow Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Today, prosecutors indicted the three former MP's on charges of defaming Yingluck. All three posted bail and were released.
Crushdepth Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Wasn't she pleading for people to stop screwing each other with legal cases, like two days ago? Send her to legal hell. Sent from somewhere in the Pacific

This involves the legal salvoes that she is firing at her foes. That's altogether acceptable to the Grande Dame of Double Standards.

Dogmatix Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Ramet Rattanchaweng, the lawyer of the three Democrats, said he might seek to question additional witnesses including Yingluck, Settha Thaweesin and businessman Ekayuth Anchanbut. It is going to be hard to get these witnesses on to the stand, particularly Ekayuth who was murdered not long after the incident. Perhaps an example of enforcement of family honour like the shootings in bombings following the whistles blown at Potjaman while topping up her Louis Vuitton collection at The Emporiium.
rubl Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 I never really had any doubts that Ms. Yingluck had a business meeting in the Four Seasons, even though there was the usual denial to have been there, denial as in nothing special, just listening, and even the MoF present. All this while parliament had a session that day. Now amongst very limited info which became available was the fact that all business people present were in 'property development'. Makes it the more interesting to have "Thai property developers, meanwhile, say the court's verdict will force them to revamp some of their plans." and an MD and two presidents complaining. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/710749-foreign-groups-cool-as-loan-bill-derails/

The police had his driver confess the murder. Not sure what happened with the criminal case though.
djjamie Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Yes, Akayuth Anchanbut was assassinated by the regime as he was critical of yingluck. Of course the case was rushed and the driver apparently "did it" The whole case was flawed and is highlighted here and here. Of course Akeyuth being a witness in that case obviously new more than the PTP regime cared to allow him to know. Of course the truth will never be revealed due to Ekkayuth's lawyer Suwat Apaipak, fearing for his safety if he kept looking for the truth.

Thaksin's SC Asset company has filed a 100 Million Baht lawsuit against PDRC for sullying its good name during rally speeches outside its building last month.

You can hardly blame Suwat for backing off after what happened to Somchai.
DrTuner Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Libel, Thailand's equivalent of the TVF <deleted> :-p
Bangmod Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 This is just another tactic to delay the payments to farmers and not need to attend any important meetings. How can prositution be forbidden by law, as this government screws over 65 million people on a daily basis…….
PepperMe Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Too funny Everything YL is probably implicated in regarding serious fraud etc.... and all they can throw back in the form of a curve ball is a silly case of defamation against 3 Dems from 18 months ago. Times must be hard for the camp.
