Where Are The Humble People In Pattaya...

Its because I am humble that I never tell anyone about my 4 Ph.D.'s, the requests I get for movie parts, my ex SAS career, my big houses in Spain, Riviera and here nor the fact that I get a 7 digit annual return on my smart investments. Unless of course, I meet someone in a bar then I might drop hints ....

Reminds me of the lyrics of a song :

.

"Oh Lord it's hard to be humble,

When you're perfect in every way,

I can't wait to look in the mirror,

'Cos I get better lookin' each day.

To know me is to love me,

I must be a helluva man,

Oh Lord it's so hard to be humble,

But I'm doin' the best that I can."

If by humble you mean poor then just investigate some of the sois over on " the dark side " . There you will a large number of elderly Thais who have very little. We provide weekly food parcels to a few of them and help in various ways.

Fr. Theo,

St. George's, Pattaya.

I don't think that's what the OP meant.

1. Marked by meekness or modesty in behavior, attitude, or spirit; not arrogant or prideful.
2. Showing deferential or submissive respect

Funny should bring this up: I recently asked a good mate of mine what he thought about starting a new club in Pattaya (we've been here >20 yrs.) consisting of only "normal" people . . . . .

after a moment's pause my friend answered:

"That will be a VERY small club !"

Good thread this, thanks OP.

The humble ones are under the radar and if they have any sense that is where they will stay.

Maybe there are some in pattaya interested in Buddhism, no-self, transcending the ways of the ego and similar pursuits.

Feel free to chime in or pm me, thanks.

Are there any people in pattaya who focus on developing their inner self skills as opposed to primarily looking outside of themselves (for satisfaction and joy)?

Safer there.

Safety has its limits.

Nothing ventured nothing gained.
