New Govt P R Team To Deal With Public Directly: Corruption In The Thai Government

What they really need is a team where foreigners can report corruption and a number to dial in to but this team needs to speak English, not like the NACC team.

There is enough of us living here in this country these days that we should be recognized and have a safe way of reporting these issues.

How To End the Corruption in Thailand.

1) Fire every BiB in the country. Bring in an international force of police from developed countries that actually know how to enforce the laws.

2) Fire every one from the rank of Major and above from all Military services. Trust me, they all have more than enough money now to retire and live very nicely.

3) Bring in totally independent investigative teams, with the power to investigate, arrest, prosecute, convict and sentence any/all PM's or other government officials for "unusual wealth".

4) Legalize both prostitution and gambling. Yes, I know Thai politicians have clearly stated that it's impossible for prostitution to exist in LOS because it's "against the law".

5) Give the people 30 days to enforce the helmet law. After that, 1st offense, major fine and confiscation of bike for 30 days, or until fine is paid. Issue REAL tickets so that they have to go to court or police station to pay, with names recorded in the computer. 2nd offense, major fine and total loss of motorbike.

These 5 things would turn this country upside down if they were to be implemented. Unfortunately, only in some other dimension of Time & Space would we see this.

"For instance, with the rice-pledging scheme, the prime minister said we should not look to see which ministry is in charge but find out what happened, because it is related to Commerce and Finance as well as Social Development and Human Security ministries.

So it would seem they don't even know which ministry is in charge of the rice-pledging scheme.

That statement would have to be a great start for the new Govt PR team.

The buck stops there, and there and there....

The bucks ($) end up in an offshore numbered account - except those that went up in smoke on a trailer on it's way to Isan.

"Deputy Agriculture Minister Natthawut Saikua, second left, and Commerce
Minister Boonsong Teriyapirom, third left, hold a press conference to
clarify doubts of corruption in the government"

What doubts every one is sure there is corruption.

The problem is the average Thai voter has no idea on the size of it.

Are they going to explain that to him.

New govt spin team to deal with public directly

Deputy Agriculture Minister Natthawut Saikua, second left, and Commerce Minister Boonsong Teriyapirom, third left, hold a press conference to clarify doubts of corruption in the government. Yes we are corrupt but that's ok because the majority of Thais don't mind corruption and its ok to lie because people don't like bad news.

The government of Thailand is not corrupt. Just because 50% of the value for all government projects winds up in the pockets of politicians is not corrupt. It is just the way things work.smile.png

Obviously all good government policies are coming to fruit. The trickle down effect is visible. Just look at all those poor people who now have a job re-assembling luxury cars :-)

This team of new govt PR , is about changing the situation to suit the occasion, re-writing the history books seems to be a daily ritual for the PTP, this new team is akin to Dracula in charge of the blood bank, what the good people of Thailand need is transparency , an independent group scrutinising the records and then telling the people, those constitutional court judges come to mind, that's just what the doctor ordered.coffee1.gif

This new holier than thou show is clearly for the benefit of Moodys. I wonder if anyone there is watching and if they are have they stopped sniggering yet.

All last seen at A&E having broken ribs strapped up. Doc has told them not to laugh again for 3 weeks.....mission impossible.

So how many notches do you reckon Moody's will knock Thailand's credit rating down by?

Just the one.... or for taking the piss with this latest nonsense maybe two?

Thankfully they are just totally objective, so even though the Government deserve a 3 notch slap in the face they will likely get one or none.

"hold a press conference to clarify doubts of corruption in the government" I for one never had my doubts. Maybe they will provide us with better evidence for those that still doubt the government is corrupt. For those in mental institutions and such.

Listen Pal! this Government Has done more to eliminate corruption within its ranks then any other government has done in the past 20 years. What has your government done?

I don't like my government or its leader Julia but they are no where near as corrupt as the present Thai government and your support of them shows how anti Thai you really are.

This team is just another layer to cloud issues and reduce the transparency of the governments actions, for too long minsters have been shooting their mouths off and regularly contradicting each other. This latest rice scam leak really rocked the boat and brought International attention to the massive corruption in Thailand and how the leadership team is extorting all available funds to the extent that they are eroding the quality of life of all Thais for generations to come.

Sounds very like American Administration Philosophy for smoothing the waves through an eight year administration. If you can make it work for you surviving two terms in office is feasible if not the other side get to Bat again.

This has got Thaksin's name written all over it. The majority of these numbskulls were chosen because they are corrupt and willing to take his orders.

Corruption is only what the Dems can be stitched up for.

It's also actually bringing a Shinawatra to court and - worse - relieving him/her of money that all Shins deserve for their sacrifice. It's in the CC for not recognising that the Government can do what it likes.

It's in the Admin court for questioning the firing (aka transfer) of anyone we don't like.

And it's in those awful 'retarded proto-fascist' protestors who can't accept our truths.

Mamparqa, I have to answer the my government put 2 people in a us jail for paying a bribe to a TAT official in Thailand. The TAT individual was not punished locally but rewarded with another position in the present government and the us legal findings, ignored. For more info, google is your friend.

If by chance you meant the present Thai government has done more to eliminate corruption than any otherTHAI government in the past 20 years, you might have a hard time conviencing anyone of that remark. In fact those who have stolen the most would probably set you straight on that remark.
