New Job In Laos - Entry Visa/work Permit Requirements

Soon I will start a new, full-time job in Luang Prabang as Headmaster of the international school. My previous visits to Laos were purely for tourism, and I obtained a 30-day VoA at the Friendship Bridge.

For entering Laos to take up employment, do I need to obtain a business visa from an embassy prior to my entry into the country? Or can I enter on a 30-day VoA and then change this in-country to a business visa?

I know a few people with a Lao business visa, they obtained it in country. Seems like your school should advise though.
