Tourist visa 1 entry into a Non-immigrant One-entry / ED

Featured Replies

Hello,

As i'm reading the forum I think I have an easy question about my visa. I'm not exactly sure who to contact so I hope you guys can help me. (thai embassy in the Netherlands, the consulate in Thailand, an immigration office..)

Situation: I entered Thailand on May 22 on an ''one entry 60 day tourist visa''. As a recent graduate (master in Business Adm.) I would like to do an internship in Bangkok for 3-4 months to gain some experience which I'm currently contacting company' s for.

Whenever I find an internship (or decide to do some work on my laptop for a couple of months) myself I have 2 possibilities.

- Get a non-immigrant one or multiple entry Visa

- For an internship, get a Non-immigrant visa ED

My question is if it would be possible to get these visa at an immigration office in Bangkok or do I get to go abroad (VIentiane, Singapore, KL) to apply for both visa?

Would it be possible for me anyway to get a Non-immigrant visa ED as I already graduated and hence not enrolled at a university?

Thanking you in advance!

In order to get a non-immigrant-B(usniess) visa you'll need documents from your future internship

In order to get a non-immigrant-ED(ucation) visa you'll need documents from your future internship

In order to get a double-entry tourist visa you won't need any documents from a third party.

Either take care of the internship while in NL or enter Thailand on a visa-exempt (30 days) or a double entry tourist-visa (max. 180 days with one visa-run).

If you would like to obtain a non-immigrant visa while in Thailand, they usually re-direct you to a neighboring consulate or embassy.

You will need the correct visa and probably get it from abroad.

You do not seem to be studying at this moment, meaning you do not qualify for an ED-visa. For your internship you will need to apply for a work permit.

You must first find a company, willing to help you applying for a work permit and than get non-B visaa in a neighbouring country.

I am aware of the documents I need from a third party. To bad i'm not enrolled at a university anymore to apply for the ED visa. As company's are not very keen on giving a work permit this is kind of difficult.

I will continue my search and if necessary get a new tourist visa in Laos. May there be a slight chance to get a new tourist visa in Bangkok, where could I adress my request to? Will this be an immigration office?

Thanks guys!

You can not obtain a tourist visa for Thailand inside Thailand - they are issued by Thai Consulates in other countries.
