The two started by "the Dukes" have attracted more vitriol than has been seen in many moons as well as a lot of topic hijacking. Of course, Dave asked for it by basically challenging people: "Put up your dukes!" Regrettably, we now have a royal pissing contest. Then there's the thread about Chinese tourists with its appalling gross cheap slurs. These appear to be a new and much more nasty flavour of the traditional TV Chiang Mai farang bar brawls between American, British and occasional Australian posters which, blessedly, have calmed down of late. Alarmingly, this thread seems to have attracted a lot of culture-bashing posters who don't usually show up around here. All in all, I have been nursing a sense of TV Chiang Mai becoming more civil over the years. Less seriously, there have been some other major changes, of course.
