Yet another declaration that is not based in reality or fact.

She swings!! She misses!!!

Only Democratic party and there's cronys make it unstable !!

Yeah, they keep winning elections they aren't supposed to and the government is quaking.

She is 100% right. You only misunderstood her: The stability of Thai politics is the instability .

Only Democratic party and there's cronys make it unstable !!

So predictable, and oh so untrue

Only Democratic party and there's cronys make it unstable !!

Are you still ranting about the Democrat Party.

Did you read what I told you yesterday?

PTP is starting to be really concerned. The cracks are appearing each day.

Don't worry about the Dems, it's your pinup girl Yingluck you should worry about.

"She said the Thai government was willing to cooperate with the private sector and to continue its support for foreign investment."

As long as the foreign investors do not take too much of their profits out of the Country.

Visiting businessmen, trade delegations etc usually get a briefing at their embassy on arrival but these are people who are on the ground here and are as aware as of any of us as to what's really going on. Just how did they manage to sit through her speech with a straight face ?

I wonder if someone failed to tell Yingluck that she wasn't actually the guest speaker but had been booked as the cabaret for the evening ?

i bet they thought this strippers a bit ropey,,

cheesy.gif 'Who's this old tart they've dragged in off the street? '

I know it's only 5.30Pm but till now the only comment from someone allegedly present during the BCCT dinner was "Thai food nice, but missed the curry"

Nothing else to say?

Please tell me she did not say thank you three times, instead of thank you, thank you, thank you.

"Only Democratic party and there's cronys make it unstable !!"

HA HA HA ! I knew this thread would flush at least one snake out of the long grass !

Yes, Thai politics permanently corrupt. Thus it is extremely stable.

Sorry Yingluck, you're talking to BTCC, think they're quite used to government rhetoric, and are well aware of the situation. Only make yourself look more foolish.

"PM to British businessmen: Thai politics has stability"

Does it!?! Does it B*****ks

"The two countries had recently agreed to hold strategic meetings on promotion of economic growth and employment of Thailand and England", Ms Yingluck said

That's going to piss off the Scots, Welsh & Ulster-Men/Women. Not to mention those on the Isle of Man & in the Channel Isles

The only "news" I want to hear from her is that the government is dropping the 90 day reporting at immigration.

Till now I've only found info on what is now an event that occurred in the past (i.e. yesterday). From the BCCT website:

Details: SPONSORED BY STANDARD CHARTERED BANK (THAI) PCL
Guest Speaker: H.E. MS. YINGLUCK SHINAWATRA, Prime Minister of Thailand
Topic: 'The Government's Anti-Corruption Campaign'
Date: Monday 17th June 2013
Time: 6.30 pm. (Networking) 7.00 pm. (Dinner served)
Venue: Dusit Thani Bangkok, 949 Rama IV Road (MRT: Silom Station or BTS: Saladaeng Station)

She as much as called them stupid trying to run that stable political malarkey through them when she has her red shirt goons constantly trying to interfere with anti government rallies.

Even if they have not been here before they would certainly have had their assistants brief them on the political situation here in Thailand. Of they didn't then they would be dumb enough to believe here crap. But rest assured before the night was out they would know the facts.

strong relations , 5555

importing legal or illegal 500.000 myanmar workers while the thais are looking at the rice growing

and making it expats so damn difficult to either work or either volunteer

I hope that she can explain to them why they can only have 49% of their own company having to let any old Thai have the remaining 51%. Also all the back hander's and other graft that they will have to go along with.

Good relations with Britain since Queen Victoria. Certainly Yingluck is either thick, or has a totally different view of history.

Anyone actually go to this event?

I would assume that attendees at the BCCT Networking and Dinner event would be members and their invitees. That would assume the attendees had a fair knowledge of Thai business, politics and especially the topic "The Government's Anti-Corruption Campaign".

8PM and still no feedback from attendees. What's the matter?

An anagram of 'Thai political stability' is 'hot capitalist liability'.

Not sure if I'd want to invest there.

The actual title of the event is quite ironic given the background of the guest of honour and her family.

Thank you, three times.

She did announce that farangs will soon be able to own land in Thailand as so many farang govs have shown her their cojones & said Thais can't own land in their countries from now on.

April fool!

She might survive to the end if her term, but any business will hedge it's bets.

So if the dems get in, cut the subsidies to everything and restore fiscal stingengcy.

Straight back to 29 to the USD. Do you know what you are asking for?

The post is somewhat offensive. Not the content per se, which thoroughly is inane. The nettlesome thing is that one gets the impression that the author thinks he is actually clever or funny.
