Extension Help Needed!

Featured Replies

Hi Guys!

I'm facing a bad situation actually and would like to know what to do about it!

I'm in Thailand on a Tourist Visa 2 Entries.

My First entrie's already used and his extension of 30 days!

My second Entrie's is already used also, and now I'm on the 30 days extension.

My extension will end up on the 23 of April!

My return flight is on the 25 of April!

So 2 days after!

What's the best thing to do for these extra 2 days?

I already tried to change the date of my flights but nothing's available!

Thanks guys!

Go to immigration with your flight ticket and request an extension to cover yourself.

Thanks Lopburi3 for your quick reply!

About the airplane ticket, the date printed on it is November 2005! :o

The date been changed in the computer system only!

So if I present this ticket, they will freak for sure I think!

I think that I will go to Air Canada and Thai Airways to get a small sticker that they put on the ticket with the new dates!

And, Lopburi3!

Can I go any time at the immigration you think or I better go only during the last week of my visa?

Thanks again!

Yes you should have a sticker on your ticket. And I would go just prior to expiration.

Ok thanks Lopburi3!

Realy appreciate your suggestion on this Saturday morning!

If you have a chance, can you tell Me if normally to get the extra days is easy or they refuse sometimes!

And also, is it 2 days that they're gonna give Me or the possible 10 days?

So take care and have a nice week-end!

They will probably give you 7 or 10 days. It should not be a problem but some people get the advise to just overstay (in the past) and I would not recommend that - let them know you are willing to pay for the extension.

You should be ok but its going to come down to the officer concerned.

The odds are that they will only give you the required days up to your flight.

Way i see it you have 2 choices either do what Lopburi suggests and go to immigration or if you feel like a day out go to the border anytime from now and obtain a 30 day stamp to cover you.

Border run will work out the same price as an extension so really its just up to you and if you can be bothered to make the border run.

Third choice would be to overstay obviously but i would not recommend it.

Regarding your ticket.............ive done this before and changed return dates from memory it was the local travel agent in Pattaya who simply put a sticker over the original date and wrote the new date/time on it.

Good point. If you are near a border you can just do a visa run to obtain the 30 day permitted to stay stamp and you could do that any day that you like. That should also remove the need for going to airline if that is not convenient.
