Hello Friends

I have just had a will drawn up in Canada ------- 1 original & 2 copies.

My Thai wife and I will arrive in Thailand the end of August for a permenant stay in the LOS.

I intend ( although this COULD change in the future ) on keeping the Investments in Canada.

My wife is the sole Beneficiary of the assets.

My executor is my nephew in Canada.

I have a few questions I would like to ask.

Should I register this will at the local Amphur office in our village ?

Will this will be valid in Thailand ?

Should my Executor in Canada keep the Original Will ?

I read the pinned section on Wills in Thailand but couldn't find the answers to these questions.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

The will is valid in Canada, and as the property/assets are there that is what matters. Make sure it is registered in Canada.

Advise is to have a will according to the law of the country he assets are in. So for property in Thailand have a seperate Thai will. Especially when you move assets to here.
