Rental car from Phuket to Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

I think the fastest and most affordable way for me to relocate to Chiang mai, along with all my things is to use a rental. I already did this trip once last week in my own truck but i have one more load left. I don't want to have to take my truck all the way down to Phuket and back again so i'll fly down and drive a rental back.

The question is does anybody know of a rental company that offers separate pick up and drop off locations? Ie: HKT to CNX.

Cheers

Budget do for sure.

Many years ago i did the trip bkk to phuket one way. Picked up near rca and dropped of at there office nr the holiday inn patong.

Be prepared for the bill though. You will be charged for both journeys plus an addional cost for staff time etc.

Its works out bloody expensive

The big ones do, Avis, Hertz, Budget.

Another one leaving Phuket.

Some people leave a place purely to try somewhere else, it's not all doom and gloom!!

Who said "doom and gloom?"

Simply stating, another expat is leaving Phuket.

Seems to be quite a few leaving in recent times.

And for every one leaving others are arriving. Seems to be quite a few arriving in recent times, despite low season.

And may I suggest we stick to the subject, rental car to CM?

Well i had some very good times along with some very bad times in Phuket. I don't want to go into it too much, everyone knows the current state of Phuket. Some like it some don't. For me, maybe i just found greener pastures in the North. To be honest i can't think of much that i'll miss about Phuket.
