Do immigration not want to see you onward journey details ??

Or have proof you are leaving the country ?

Can i just get my tourist visa on arrival ? for how long is that for ?

Thanks in advance

You need to get this before you go or proof of onward travel is necessary. :o

You can get a tourist visa for 2 months and extend it for a monthin Bangkok. So you get 3 months in total. Technically you are supposed to have an onward ticket/return. But i have never been asked to show one. Tourist visa on arrival is 30 days.

You get a months transit visa on arrival, hence the need to show onward travel plans though to be hoinest I've never been questioned about this before although a friend of mine has so maybe I'm just lucky.

Get a tourist visa, it'll last you 2 months then you can extend it at an immigration office for another month. You can apply for them by post now, very easy, cheap enough, and it'll solve any problems about your one way ticket.

for me, the never checked anything beside the passport and their funny tourist visa paper.

If someone ask, tell you want to make holidays in Phuket and than travel with the bus to Malaysia........

(Or Pattaya and Kambodia).

I would not expect any problems. For many countries you get 30 days, but with a jump over the border and back you get again 30 days, that is called "Visa-Run".

But I heared there are longer tourist visas possible (from the the embassy???) but I am not a specialist on that..

Hi alan

I always get a oneway ticket as I like to decide for myself when to go back to UK

from personal experience i found the thai consulate in cardiff much more helpful in the past and on the phone too...my passport has alway come back to me within 3days

on the app form just put "travelling by land to cambodia" or the likes

don't forget to put in a registered prepaid adressed envelope

Avoid the embassy, personal applications only. Hull or Cardiff are friendly and you can do it all by post.

If you have no visa you won't get on the flight at Heathrow if you don't have confirmed onward travel, no problem for you as you will have a visa.
