BANGKOK, 4 July 2013: Nine attractions in Thailand were ranked in the middle of the pack of Asia’s Top 25 attractions awards for 2013, organised by TripAdvisor.

The top landmark in Asia was Cambodia’s Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, while Bangkok’s Wat Pho got the eighth slot and Grand Palace the 10th.

Annouced last week, the inaugural awards honoured 1,263 of the world’s top landmarks, parks, museums and amusement and water parks. Winners came from 39 countries worldwide, based on quality and quantity of traveller reviews.

In the Asian awards, Bangkok’s Temple of the Reclining Buddha, the Grand Palace, Temple of the Dawn, Temple of the Emerald Buddha as well as Chiang Mai’s Wat Phra That Doi Suthep secured eighth, 10th, 11th, 12th and 21st positions respectively.
