System Administrator Needed

We are looking for qualified persons for the permanent, full-time position of a

System Administrator

to be based in Bangkok.

The ideal candidate has:

• Thai nationality,

• good interpersonal and communication skills,

• can work under pressure; has good planning, coordination and problem solving skills,

• a systematic thinker, a team player and customer service minded,

• ability to work independently and with positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing, diagnosing and repair common problems with the Windows operating system on a group of personal computers and on a network sever

• Installing, troubleshooting and supporting hardware and software on individual computers and on a local area network (LAN)

• Managing the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems

• Maintaining the integrity and security of servers and systems

• Setting up and maintaining a common local area network (LAN) with the proper equipment

• Installing and managing user accounts on a group of computers and on a local area network (LAN)

• Setting up and managing email accounts

• Installing and supporting peripheral equipment, such as printers, on a local area network (LAN)

• Maintaining system documentation

• Interacting with users and evaluates vendor products

• Determining the hardware and software needs for a common local area network (LAN), including the time needed to setup the network and the costs involved

• Making recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery

• Developing and monitoring policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources

• Developing and implements testing strategies and document results

• Providing advice and training to end-users

• Communicating and coordinating with programmers and the manager

• Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned

• Participating in special projects as required

Requirements:

• Male or female

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer / Electronics / Telecommunication Engineering or related field

• Native command of spoken and written Thai and basic-level spoken and written technical English are a must. Additional languages are a plus.

• Programming knowledge is a plus.

• Proficiency in user software (Microsoft Office: MS Word, Excel); Internet and email

• Knowledge of Windows operating systems

• Working knowledge of server maintenance is a plus.

• Installing and maintaining Windows and/or Linux servers is a plus.
