Car Dealer - damage car .

I did a service last week at a dealer in Phuket , at the same occasion they did a '' air con '' repair . They took the car from the dealer and made the repair at a subcontractor shop ?? , we paid the dealer and never had contact with there subcontractor .

When picking up the car we have noticed that while they did the repair had damaged the dasboard at 6 - 7 places as a result that the leater is missing on several places . Now they tell me that I have to pay 50% for the repair and waith for 1 month ?

Would you accept that you have to pay 50% of a damage they have done and as a result that the car has lost xxxxx of his value ? I'm serious and hold back in trowing this on the net and wand to give them the time in a '' fair '' way of solving the problem .

Anny suggestions ?

Oh yes Its a '' official car dealer ''and a ''official service station'' and not a jack all trader from behind the corner .

We had a paint job done on a truck a few years back. When it started to fail went back and they just gave us the number of the company that did the work.

Needless to say got nowhere.

No help sry , but unfortunately i think divine intervention maybe your only hope

Ok , Here the Good News , just got a call from the dealer and afther visiting 2 x and calling 5 day's in a row .They replace at there cost 100 % free , ok must waith a month and 3 day's without a car but this is much bether . It's what you can expect .

Kurnell , thanks for your advice but again It's poeple as you that dont say anything and just walk away are underming communication , mutial respects and encourage poor standards . Nevermind ....... everybody has his own world.

It's bad customer service, the people that fitted my coil overs did it wrong causing the near side tire to touch the suspension, it took loads of rubber from the inside tire side wall, I told them tire is now no good, they said yes can use no problem!! I asked him would you use the tire on your car with family or friends as passengers, strangely enough there was no answer!! 4200฿ *** you very much!!

Service sucks but everything on a car is cheap as hell(except for the car itself)

No way around it. Better than having a good service in the west but not going in because the price of a checkup is the same as rebuilding a whole engine in thailand
