longstebe
Where do I start? I would like to import my dogs into the UK. Has anyone been through this process and would I need to go to bkk to take care of it? What costs are involved? Is there a specific airline which treat animals better? Thanks in advance. TommyTucker
There is a company called Boonma in Bangkok who you need to contact. When I get back to Bangers on Sunday I will give you their contact details etc.

longstebe
Hi Tommy, I've just been reading some earlier posts regarding all this. Just to clear a few things up, 1 is a shizu and the other is a poodle/shizu. They will hopefully be travelling with my wife to either LHR or LGW then onto IOM. 1kate1
You will probably have to start now with injections and blood tests as that can take a few months.....then there is 6 months quarantine,,,,,,UK are strict. BA ..Emirates,,KLM are all excellent for animal transportation.
ToddWeston
Start here. https://www.gov.uk/pet-travel-quarantine I would suggest either THai or BA at least there is a hub at one end for the carrier either in BKK or LHR don't muck about with connections as it's stressful on the pups. The last time I enquired I believe the fee was around 7000 baht and in your case x 2 whilst travelling with the pet sendind the dog(s) on it's own is more i believe. I'd also ring a vet in the UK and ask about sedation, some are okay with it and many are opposed personal choice I guess. Best of luck, your pups will surely love walkies at home. Sheryl
As others indicated, it is a long process (about 6 months in advance) in order to avoid quarantine at the UK on arrival. Can be done, but must go through all the steps and start well in advance.
