That's not fair Dave I saw the picture and immediately wanted to go there.

Then I saw on the bottom of the picture it is in Bangkok.sad.png

Why is everyone guessing? Incapable of using google (or bing or duckduckgo - whateva)?

It's a hormone/steroid - which is produced in the body naturally and in sufficient quantity as to not need supplementing.

Taking it as a supplement is utter snake oil - imho.

OP sorry - don't know if it's legal/available here.

I thought I have seen it at GNC but way marked up. Maybe also at one of the pharmacies on the lower level of KSK.

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/575435-dhea-in-thailand/

I usually bring or order it in. Iherb will deliver.

Not expensive if sourced in a western country and great for energy mood and lean body composition. Maybe $20 for a years supply.

It is banned from professional sports because it works well.

Can get a test at MTLabs in CM to check levels. In most people it drops with age

DHEA Sulphate serum test 600 baht

If MTLab offers it then likely available at most hospitals for about the same price.

I goggled it and you can order it through Biovea a big advertised here.

Here is my question why can't people asking where to get some thing that is not common tell us what it is used for?

Why do we have to google it?

Why don't they?

My simple answer is because we are trying to share information. Google dosen't always tell us where to go to buy it.

BTW, I found a place that has it, although about 4x what it would cost in the US. If I order from iHerb, shipping cost will make it 4x what it would cost in the US. Six of one, half a dozen of another. I'll probably just buy it here. For those of you kind enough to suggest a location to buy -- thanks!

A bit late on this, but I'll give you a good answer, I hope. Have been in CM for 9 years and seen DHEA at the GMC store in the airport plaza. Most all supplements in Thailand are extremely expensive and hardly worth the effort, but they aren't hard to find, If you want DHEA, order it from Puritan.com in the states if you can wait a bit - they ship by DHL and it takes about 3 weeks. DHEA is banned by major sport org's, Canada and UK, but not the US or Thailand or most countries. It is NOT a steroid, at least it is not an illegal steroid generally nor an anabolic steroid in itself, though it is a precursor to testosterone at only 2 steps away, so it will raise your test levels and will produce an anabolic effect at large doses (about 150mg or more). Since DHEA is a precursor to many hormones including estrogen, it does NOT throw the body into severe imbalance nor have the nasty side effects that raw testosterone or other illegal steroids do. Most people over 50, men and women, have near zero DHEA levels. DHEA will give you a real boost in vitality, help you recover from sickness or injury, and at larger doses can produce an anabolic effect. I won't say it has no andro properties, so women should not take a lot IMHO, but it beats oxandralone and the other steroids that tend to produce self satisfied freaks of nature. Nor should anyone take it for more than two months in my opinion, but that's just my opinion. I would never classify DHEA in a negative sense as a steroid, because ten years ago it really helped me a lot, gave me a good boost in energy. The only side effect, which was severe enough to make me stop using it, was the random tendency for women to be taking off either their clothes or mine while I was also working out hard at Gold's in the states. That may sound like fantasy, but believe me it was happening, and it wasn't any fun for me. I've never bothered with it since because Vitamin B, C, C and magnesium citrate keep me pretty much vital, but at 66 and recovering from a bad motorcycle accident, I have ordered some and am glad that it's still legal. If you're under 50, I don't think you should be fooling with any kind of hormones, even DHEA, but DHEA doesn't seem to have much effect on younger people, anyway.

If you're going to use google to find out where to get it, what's so different about using google to find out what it is or what it is used for?

It was not any fun for you? Did it only work on elderly and unattractive women? blink.png

According to Wikipedia, your results are significantly different than the results of scientific studies. I liked the summary:

"Marketing

In the United States, DHEA or DHEAS have been advertised with exaggerated claims that they may be beneficial for a wide variety of ailments. DHEA and DHEAS are readily available in the United States, where they are marketed as over-the-counter dietary supplements.[50] A 2004 review in the American Journal of Sports Medicine concluded that "The marketing of this supplement's effectiveness far exceeds its science."[51]"

My simple approach to determining the effectiveness of legal supplements is to read the fine print. If there are lots of words that imply the substance should have a wonderful effect, but the fine print does not clearly state that the substance has been proven to provide the wonderful effect by a reputable medical institution, then it doesn't provide the effect.

3 floor KSK has Sentinel brand DHEA. Its the small pharmacy next to the Boots pharmacy.

800 baht for 60 x 25 mg.

If your low (which can be tested/confirmed) then its magic.

It accumulates over time of supplementation so once a deficiency is eliminated then only necessary top up here and there.
