July 19, 201312 yr I just got mine Certificate of Residence today. Very positive experience and surprised that process went so smooth. After reading posts on this forum I thought I will have many problems to get it. I went to Immigration last friday 12 July at 8am. No need to get in long line, as Certificates desk is next to building 6 (desk outside). Not so many people waiting. Desk opens at 8.30am, they gave me number 6. After about 5 min was my turn. Handed all documents and had been informed to come back again after one week, 19 July between 1-4pm. Went today at 1pm to receive my certificate. After 5 min was out. No need to pay anything. I think before it was 500 baht, now is free. I need certificate to get Yellow Book (house book). Went to the House Book office right after Immigration. They told me that my address on certificate is not exactly same as in my house book. Moo number missing. They adviced me to go back to immigration and fix it. I thought probably I will have to repeat all process again to get new certificate. No, they fixed this on the spot. It was my fault that I filled out application form incorrectly. There is tip box in the Certificate of Residence office. I was generous

July 20, 201312 yr I got mine at my consulate. I didn't need to bring any papers (other than money,) took less than five minutes, and a copy of the paper was accepted at the MVD as proof of residence to change the title of my motor scooter.
