NeverSure
six hours and 41 minutes. I'm waiting until the last few minutes to put in my bid.
balo
... still no bid at eBay ... finishes in 14 hours ... No wonder, $3 milllion for a piece of paper that is 70 years old , if it was 2000 years old and with Jesus hand writing on it I would consider it to be worth something. wealth
it's not as if there's no interest even for 3 million USD. But only for a real thing. Auction closed and no bidding ... Lucky if the offer will not be investigated for attempted fraud. But then, no bidding no victim. They may have refused any request of a thorough check. also the trick that the buyer must come to Israel to an undisclosed location to pick it up. eBay for me has lost credibility as well. How can someone guarantee for something he hasn't seen, checked and so forth. Push button get rich quick thingy ... I call it the hoax of the year. The whole setup was a con.

The whole setup was a con. wealth I agree, though I am unsure if it can be termed hoax of the century as it was never actually sold to anyone, but it definitely appears to be a lie that deserves investigation by a specialist fraud department. Perhaps those of us who were grouped amongst the 'conspiracy theorists' on this thread can feel a little vindicated that nobody with any money nor an ounce of common sense fell for the self proclaimed authenticity of the paper when even the smallest background check and application of logic showed the whole thing to be fake. A thumbs up for free thinking!
Scott
I bow to your expertise and wisdom on this issue. You were right. I was wrong.
Fookhaht
ok, this is simple. The one on ebay is the original. Go to ebay download the graphic for each page (it's all there), print it all off. You now have a copy of the original....free. Or! Throw some onion juice on each page (better still print it on onion skin paper!), leave it in the sun a couple of days, stick it in the draw for 10 years then sell it as an original copy for 2 million dollars BRILLIANT! Even as I type with one hand, I'm squeezing an onion with the other.
NeverSure
Dang. I tried to buy it by waiting until the last couple of seconds to place my bid, but somehow I was late a second or two and it refused my bid. Only 3 million USD. What a bargain and look at the profits I lost.
