Best SIM for Galaxy II, tethering to laptop - for Chiang Mai?

Featured Replies

Like many travelers, I rely on having a good internet connection. I have trawled through alot of posts on the forum but it seems that the technology and availability is constantly changing. As far as I can ascertain, these four brands rate the best:

One-2-Call. Dtac. Happy. TrueMove H.

Can anyone tell me which of these brands they would rate the best in 2013 - for fastest and best value coverage in CM?

What would be the best pre-paid SIM deal and/or the best fixed contract deal?

Also, do the guest houses and budget hotels in CM have plug-in ethernet or varying quality wireless?

thanks!

I've used One-2-call for the past 2 years and no complaints - but this was for my mobile phone, not computing gear.

It seems to me that every coffee shop, guest house, hotel, has free wi-fi. If it's not free, go elsewhere.

I've stayed at 'Elegant Lanna' guest house on many occasions, and they have wi-fi boxes on each of the 4 floors. Probably the same all over town.
