July 31, 201312 yr My girlfriend and I have decided to apply for a fiance visa so that we can marry in the UK, we have been together for three years and she recently came to the UK for a holiday. We seem to meet all the criteria but I wonder if there are any possible problems that we may encounter. I am in the process of divorce from my previous wife which will complete in around eight weeks, can we start the application before my divorce is finalised? My girlfriend doesn't have a birth certificate is this a problem for the application? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
July 31, 201312 yr As long as you explain the situation about your divorce in your sponsor's letter and that you will have your decree absolute in time for you to marry before her 6 month fiancé visa expires, this should not be a problem. Her not having a birth certificate is not a problem; her passport is enough evidence of her identity. You may find UK Settlement Visa Basics helpful.
July 31, 201312 yr Author One more thing that's just occurred to me, I'm self employed so do I get my accountant to draft something about my earnings? Bank statements don't tell the whole story as some of my earnings are cash and don't go through my bank. Thanks. Nick Sent from my HTC One using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

September 4, 201312 yr Author Can anyone give me an insight into the A1 English test that is required for UK fiancee visa? Are the only test centers in bkk? Thanks, Nick Sent from my HTC One using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
