Huey
WOW, I just got back from Battlefield Bangkok and it's like Gammer Heaven. I have been here for 8 years and I never saw anything like it here in BKK Paragons book shops don't even hold a candle. BB over at Piyarom has got, about 50 different new board games, stuff like Arkham horror and Conan, about a half dozen different Role playing games like D&D stuff and Vampire. Miniature war games like Warmachine... plenty of tables, Its' just hot. Plus there's like a ton of shops to eat and get some snacks and what not. Wuffy
Went and checked out the store myself. Good selection of western style boardgames. The real bonus over Kinokunya, it's got space and copies of the games opened to try them out before you grab em. I mean I been to Kino and It's all stuffed tightly packed near the kids book shelves. Trying to get at one game I had to pry 5 others out of the way. Not real convenient. Really easy to knock half of it to the floor. (How often did this happen before I got to them?). Downside? Well My wallet is a fair bit lighter after I came home with some stuff. *Edit: Corrected meaning* Edited May 7, 2009 by Wuffy
JimShortz
Monopoly is definitely available, the Thai version of course. My kids played for hours when they were younger. IMHO the Thai version of Monopoly is rubbish! I have recently seen a game called ChiangMaiOpoly for sale in Chiang Mai. This version is based around Chiang Mai bars and life from what I can see on the website - it looks pretty funny to me... Checkout their website, at the obvious .com address for a game called chiangmaiopoly I hope that is okay with the mods? I'm never sure in this forum anymore... Sabum
Just got in from Battlefield Bangkok myself. Great store, nice falang owner that is very knowledgeable about his products. Picked up a game but wanted to buy them all....lol. If anyone lives in the On Nut area and likes these kinds of games let me know.

benthai98
Yeah, BFB is a great place. We play L5R and Malifaux miniatures game there all the time. Great way to spend the weekend - although continuous visits do reduce the thickness of your wallet.
