social media which could lead to anxiety among the general public

Oh my word. Causing anxiety gets you jailed. Very very bad retrograde step for freedom this one.

Revealing government's corruption is a crime, but it's okay for the super Elite, to dress as imposter monks, acquire assets, or murdering people with ferraris, and XXXXX_cuse your "Innocent" children from driving berserk into buses....

A great number of people have reason to panic on Thai roads every nanosecond because of the life threatening driving and non-existent discipline on the roads.

No resources and no time for that...

Oh but now people might panic inside their homes.... because of a coup that might happen and affect just a few people there at the top ....

I think the stockbroker that got four years in jail for commenting on the King's health in 2009 was also jailed for this, wasn't he? Causing panic? In any case, it's not a new law. It's in the Computer Crimes Act that the coup government brought in. So PT's seems to be: 'We disagree with the coup and the constitution that came from the coup, but we're happy to use the draconian measures introduced by the coup government as long as it benefits us'. Of course, no one should ever, ever, suggest the military would step in and oust an elected government in Thailand. That's just putting false and confusing ideas into people's imaginations, and must be punished.

Also, I wonder if Jatuporn will face jail the next time he comes up with a spurious coup rumour? Or does it only work if you say it to your friends on Facebook, and not to a crowd of thousands which is being broadcast live on cable TV?

Its just whats happening to many of the Worlds governments, they want the general population to say

nowt, don't even dare to think, they want us living in fear,so they can control us,it been going on for

years, now its getting worse, they monitor our phone calls, emails, follow you on the street with the CCTV

cameras, next step will be implants I am sure.

When George Orwell wrote 1984 it was seen as fantasy, would never happen, how true he was,and it

will only get worse under the guise of threats from the Muslim world, they have taken over from Communism

as the way to pass laws, tell lies (whoppers) WMD and it lets Governments do anything they want.

There are so may simlarities between Thailand and North Korea , but at least North Korea doesn't pretend to be a democracy .

North Korea pretend to be a democracy...They have all couple of years elections. Just not too many choices there. Theoretically it would be possible to not elect Kim

Arbitrary judgement of unwanted and anxiety. The thought police are born in Thailand. Welcome slowly to east Germany, China or north Korea.

No need. You would be issued with a new wardrobe.

I commend you for recognizing that your statements are contrary to public order.

Rather than become a burden on the prison system, why not self deport to a country more to your liking?

In your opinion.

Perhaps you may wish to continue your quest as a freedom fighter from a country more to your liking? Sudan, Bangladesh, Yemen, Sierra Leone, Cote d'Ivoire, Italy, Belarus, are some countries you may wish to consider.

Otherwise, people might start laughing even louder. smile.png

Would that be the Democratic People's Republic of Korea?

What an uneducated comment.

Enjoy the delusion, as it might not last for much longer .

Don't tell them about Thaivisa or we'll all get jailed. sad.png

My advice to posters is that from now on you mask your comments with a veil of irony. Thais just don't get it.

Mind you, neither do most Americans. So my advice to them would be don't post.

Can i summons True Corp for the repeated sms they send day after day ? This gives my a headache .

Everybody should text Muhamud Jon Eddy of DTAC every minute night and day untill he realises unsolicited SMSs are not welcome.....Many American business estates in the old days used to have signs up preventing unsolicited callers and yet THIS American CEO doesn't give a toss about intruding on our private lives.......Oh of course we can go to an outlet to get them cancelleed...

Or you could just curl up and retire to a country where nothing much ever happens...... somewhere like Belgium or Canada.

I guess it all boils down to the old addage of the monkies "Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil".

Which would pretty much cramp my stile if I was intimidated by it, which I'm NOT.
