What examples of injustice do you know of in Thailand? Thai on Thai in the legal system.

My wife's nephew is in prison for a crime he did not commit. Last year he got into a dispute with another young man, the dispute became physical and a fight ensued, a few days after the fight the other young man was riding his motorcycle at high speed around a sharp bend on a downhill slope, he lost control and was killed. My wife's nephew was subsequently accused of killing the other young man, he has since been charged and tried for murder, he was told murder carries a maximum term of twenty years but was sentenced to one and a half years.

It would have been blatantly obvious that my wife's nephew had nothing to do with the other young man's death, but he was still tried for his death.

Does anyone have any other examples of injustice within the Thai legal system between and towards Thais.
