petercool
One of the saddest aspects of this poor man's death is that no one knew for 7 days that he had died. I for one would hope that at the end I would have enough friends to miss me after a day or two and make enquiries about me. Condolences to his family.

johnlandy
R.I.P. ...but a strange forename for a german as I am one, MAU nver heard of that! I think they inverted the name and it is his last name. Out of curiosity: why is every foreign death posted on Thai Visa? Every foreign death is NOT POSTED on TV And, every foreign death is not reported on in The BKK Post or The Nation. And, every foreign death does not make it's way into one of the rags claiming to have their fingers on the pulse of all that is happening in the realm. If their so called contacts don't report it to them, then it goes un-noticed
Emdog
Suicide by bowling? RIP and all that. I wonder if the police look at recent calls on phone. Maybe he did try to call emergency hospital number and got no where with it. At least it wasn't bad Thai food.... or was it?
Krataiboy
You mean an abundance of a drug known to induce heart attack is not wort mention? Or do you mean that when it happens to you, you want that information omitted? it is a fairy tale that sex enhancement drugs cause heart attacks. correct is that an overdose can lead to death but not by a heart attack. Er, sorry but .. . In 2000, researchers at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles did an analysis of 1,473 major adverse medical events involving the use of Viagra. There were 522 deaths, most involving cardiovascular causes developing within 4-5 hours of taking a 50 mg dose of Viagra. The majority of deaths occurred in patients who were less than 65 years of age and had no reported cardiac risk factors. . . Cedars-Sinai researchers concluded that there "appears to be a high number of deaths and serious cardiovascular events associated with the use of Viagra." Fairy tale? More like Grimm reality.

impulse
Note to self: Get a trusted friend to clean up the porn, the "marital aids", the condom wrappers, and the other items in the apartment that would be an embarrassment to the family in case of my demise. Trigger my smartphone to call him if it doesn't get used in 12 hours....before the battery dies. (Now, there's an app that I'd gladly pay for) It's not just in the movies. RIP to the victim, and condolences to the family. Edited August 8, 2013 by impulse

I dont lose any sleep over what people think of me whilst I'm alive, and I couldn't give the proverbial XXXX about what they will think of me when I'm dead. If my family is embarrassed by me then they can just waive their inheritance and let someone much less stupid get the money for tidying up after me. If you cannot see the irrelevance of the inclusion in reporting then you are even more stupid that your posts have hitherto suggested. Cardholder, your post is as offensive and ignorant as I have seen. ED drugs can and do cause heart and other health issues, especially when taken in conjunction to certain heart medication-http://www.aarp.org/health/drugs-supplements/info-01-2012/viagra-and-heart-risks-health-discovery.html--and as appears very apparent to me, like all scandal rags, the English language dailies here in Thailand, as well as this honorable forum, go for the sexual innuendo anywhere possible. The fact GirlDrinkDrunk asked the poster if he thought this was not worth mention or would want that information omitted, seems a legitimate question. dighambara
At 71 years of age I see no problem with him having some Veetab (not heard of that one before). Shows he still wanted to enjoy a full life. As said by others, people age 71 die all the time and no need for the press to have to include the sex aid pharmacy. What about heart meds or whatever but that seems too much to ask of the reporters. 71, he had a long life and I hope he enjoyed it to the full. Not to Pi$$ on your parade, but 71 is (IMHO) not a long life. I am 67 and want to see my young daughters grown, thru college and happily on with their lives. Likewise, my Mother anticipates she has at least another 20 years.
runningfree73
This was one of many news updates in my email inbox but marked, "must read". I was expecting some kind of sensational twist to the story but instead am presented with the completely unremarkable report of the death of another sorry-ass, sex-crazed, geriatric. Add this one to your bedtime reading:- The American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association concur that sildenafil is safe for men with stable coronary artery disease who are not taking nitrates, but should never be used in patients who are taking nitrates. (Nitrates include all forms of nitroglycerin - sublingual, transdermal and spray forms - as well as isosorbide mononitrate, isosorbide dinitrate, pentaerythritol tetranitrate, erythrityl tetranitrate, and amyl nitrate.) It should be noted that, while in the past nitrates were the foundation of therapy for coronary artery disease, this is no longer the case. In the era of angioplasty and stenting, coronary artery disease is usually manageable without resorting to nitrates. Patients who are being prescribed nitrates and wish to take sildenafil should ask your doctors about alternate forms of therapy for their coronary artery disease. There are other groups of heart patients for whom sildenafil may be potentially dangerous. These include patients with unstable coronary artery disease or active coronary artery ischemia (i.e., patients whose coronary artery disease is not stable.) These patients, obviously, have an active medical problem that needs to be stabilized whether or not sildenafil is being considered. Once they are sufficiently treated, the use of sildenafil (as well as all other forms of routine, daily life such as exercise) can be entertained. Other patients who may have trouble with sildenafil are those with heart failure accompanied by borderline low blood pressure, some patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and possibly, patients on complicated drug regimens for hypertension. With these exceptions, sildenafil can be used safely in the vast majority of patients with heart disease.

NanLaew
For readers advised not to take too much sex medication which sold in the market esspecially from China, my best died by taking such pills he had high blood pressure and this kills him in few months times by heart failure.. Sorry to hear about your loss, but your best friend died from a pre-existing medical condition that was most likely aggravated by taking dodgy ED medication. Ergo, your best friend died from ignorance. But don't worry, he's not alone in that regard.
