Where do you catch those vans? Is it at the old bus station (non VIP bus station)? Do they go to other places as well?

*Where is this new bus station? Is it on the south side of town on Mittraphap as I've heard?

Khon Kaen Gazette Reports:

Khon Kaen Land Transportation Authority (LTA) has announced that 1st October 2013 will be the official opening date of the city’s third bus terminal.

The construction of all the facilities has been completed and the issue of safety at the U-turn on Mittraphap Road, as previously reported, has been resolved. Now a lead time is in place to finalise all arrangements including the integration of the network timetable.

All large buses and luxury coaches will operate from this new station and the two existing stations will cater for the small minivan based buses which are becoming an increasingly popular form of transport.

Diverting large buses away from the city centre should be yet another welcome step in tackling traffic congestion in Khon Kaen, said a spokesman for the LTA

Mini van/bus driver mentality........ Arrive yesterday.
