I am happy to come from a civillized country and I am happy that in my country people are put jail once the are convicted a crime. This article does not really implement a 'crime' apart from maybe having been a false police man and he having some porn on his computer or similar and even that unclear. So why again someone here probably claiming that he may come from a civillized country want to put someone in jail first, why want the guy in question to be treated in uncivillized way? Maybe some people here lived to long in some strange environment....Do not get me wrong...I am not supporting people that do molest children...but again be appropriate...peadophile people I consider sick and they need treatment...unfortunately it not take a lot of effort form them in some parts of Thailand to be successful.

"Mr. Pascal Conner", that does not sound like a German name.

Sounds French.

Maybe the police is confused of his German football shirt. giggle.gif

are there many foreigners pretending to be police in Thailand? - I see many carrying police radios or wearing police clothings. Me thinks the Thai Labor department is not checking work permits properly and I hear many foreigners are "arrested" and then pay "bribes" but if the officer is not real then it is not a bribe but a scam

WOW Pattaya Police arrested 2 Fake Pedo Cops - one Thai and one Anglo-German - PattayaOne News is running both stories - the fake Thai Cop was carrying a BB Gun and a walkie talkie and sexually abused young girls

A 28 year old Pattaya Police Volunteer was arrested in the early hours of Saturday after the father of a 14 year old girl reported the volunteer was in a sexual relationship with her.

The volunteer, named as Khun Don, was arrested in front of the Poipet Market in Soi Neun Plub Wan in East Pattaya. He was in uniform and was carrying a two-way radio and a BB Gun.

The Father of the girl was unhappy after hearing about the relationship and told Police that it was affecting his daughters schooling as she opted to see Khun Don rather than attend school on numerous occasions. It is thought the pair were in a relationship for at-least 4 months had engaged in sexual intercourse at-least twice.

The Police Volunteer was arrested and charged with sexual offences with a minor under the age of 15. The case will be heard in Court in due course.

I have always thought ill of the British for calling these people 'fiddlers'. It makes a horrible crime sound less serious. It is not Fiddling it is Molesting.

its odd that they allow another German fake policeman to operate, I have reported him a number of times to the Tourist police in Walking Street and they laugh at me. they know who he is because he used to be one of them. Im just grateful that my landlord didnt let him into my room to steal my things when he waved his fake ID in his face, and also grateful that he was fired for breaking into my room the first time, but I still dont see why they think its funny that he is still operating with fake ID

Though I would agree that he needs to be found guilty before being hung, drawn and quartered, I would assume for him to be charged with child molestation that the 'porn' they found must incriminate him in some way and provide some sort of evidence that he molested a child ie. he filmed himself in the act.

Not to be concerned. If someone gets scammed when they're attempting to bribe someone they can file a complaint.

"...happy to come from a civilized country..."???

I sometimes really wonder what a civilized country is. Germany that produced probably the greatest mass murderer of all time...oh sorry, Austria produced him...Germany only elected him. England and it's "Empire where the sun never sets" and ruled over and subjugated millions for decades and more. France which invented a humane way to kill its own people (i.e., the guillotine). Russia which produced the only rival to Germany's claim to having the greatest mass murderer in history. Spain which endured one of the bloodiest civil wars of he last century. The list goes on. Yeah, we all come from "a civilized country". That includes myself...coming from the USA where we basically slaughtered and subjugated Native Americans to make room for the nation's expansion, among other "civilized" things, both past and present. Anyway, I'm not passing judgement on anyone....just food for thought.

Back on topic, child molesters have to be the lowest of lowest in any "civilized" society and if that what's this guy was up to, hopefully he'll get a long prison sentence in a THAI jail.

Seems there is a bit of a rush to judgement here, quite ironic since I just came from a thread where one of the guy, as is typical of many here, is an over 50 who is dating 18-20 year olds.

Besides, was he a volunteer police whose license expired? That could be called a "fake license". Or maybe he just bought a souvenir because he thought it's cool. Maybe he just uses it and handcuffs for roleplay. The story didn't mention him using it to extort money or do illegal things with it. Why did the father only report him once he got concerned it was interfering with his daughter's studies?

The guy is in his twenties, and it's worth noting the age of consent is 15, if he was some sort of methodical hunter of young girls he'd stick to 15 year olds so I find the charges levelled here to be inaccurate. Or if he waited a few months his relationship would been legal. The girl was apparently voluntarily with him and the guy was not with other girls (since it didn't list other victims). How about some condemnation for all the fifty or sixty year old geezers in Thailand paying 18 year olds (a fourth their age!) for sex they don't want.

I think a lot of humans like to puff up their own morality on news like this yet fail to see their own failings. Probably someone on this very thread is 30-60 yrs old and watches pornography with the youngest possible models (18-19), or which uses phrases like "young", "teen", "school girls", etc. Were the law for pornography 16, probably most of you on this thread would be indulging in that. 15 much the same. Perhaps even 14.

I can't see why old geezers who indulge in the exploitation of 18 year old teenage girls, think they have some right to criticize a guy half their age who was from what the article seems to say, having a consensual monogamous relationship and apparently had met the father previously. He was basically thrown in jail for interfering with the girl's studies...

In my book an ugly old 50 year old who pays for 18 year olds to have sex is worse than an attractive twenty something having a consensual relationship with a teen who was barely under age.
