August 14, 201313 yr Though not strictly to do with visas, the government has issued a consultation document that may interest members here. They are proposing to centralise the registration of births and deaths in the UK ( that is, end the possibility of registering births and deaths at the Embassy in Bangkok or elsewhere). There are various options, and you can give your views. The link to the government website is here, and you can find the Consultation Document and Impact Assessment Document: https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/legislative-reform-order
August 14, 201313 yr Nice to see the following groups: British Chamber of Commerce in Thailand Pattaya City Expats Club British Club Bangkok are to be consulted. Load of legal BS I had to read down to Chapter 3 to understand what was being proposed, seems the Government wants it to be done "on-line". I note they propose they could reduce the charges for registration, me think, thats one carrot the donkey will never get.
