PATTAYA:--In the early hours of Monday, Police and rescue services were called to the Sukhumvit Road in North Pattaya to deal with a fatal road accident involving a pedestrian and a high-performance motorbike.

At the scene was the body of Miss San Kyi aged 42 from Burma. She had been struck by the motorbike and was pronounced dead-at-the-scene. Her Burmese husband Mr. Soe Min Aung aged 38 was also hit and was seriously injured along with the driver of the Honda CRV motorbike which struck the pair, Khun Wumai aged 29, who were both taken to Hospital.

A group of Burmese workers from Bangkok had come to Pattaya to see family members for the day and were walking along the Sukhumvit Road so they could catch a minivan taxi back to Bangkok where they live and work.
