I had a look at my old kasikorn atm and it was almost due so i went in and made a new card which is

supposed to work on internet, i will get some code tomorrow and see if that works out better.

I will still make an attempt to get this bangkok bank thing to work, but i dont know of any

big office where they may be willing to help me out.

Hmm, i opened it in bangkok bank, i think its called 'Be1st'.

So i activate it in an ATM machine ?

Never done it, do you remember some of the procedures or questions in the machine ?

The 1st Card can make online purchases. You can also set your spending limit on it.

Yes, thanks. But the hole in a wall office squeezed in bigC south pattaya has 2 bankers,

on a slightly less competence than i possess as far as i can judge by the blank stare.

Been asking for any bigger office in pattaya for quite some time now

K-web card requires internet banking. Internet banking requires a work permit. ;-) They work very well though, you can change the limit as and when you please, and activate/de-active when required. The cash gets debited directly from your savings acc.

I have a K Web shopping card and use their Internet Banking, have never had, or been asked for, a work permit.

There usually quite strict on that. I guess you had a nice balance when requesting the internet banking.

I've never seen anywhere that you need a work permit to use Internet Banking with Kasikorn, in my case I opened an account with a 1000 Baht or so, and was offered Internet Banking on the spot, you can only spend what you have in your account.

Where did you hear that they "are usually quite strict on that", was it personal experience?

In fact their website states that all you need is a savings account and a copy of your passport.

I sure didnt and dont have a work permit when i opened the two accounts,

cant remember how much i opened the first account with, but i opened the 2nd account with 5000 baht.

Both are said to be able to use for online purchases, but i would need someone do it all for me,

i frep up when it comes to finalize the thing for internet use.

The XXXXX is the OTP (one time password), you enter this on the website to confirm the transaction.

but i cant even find a login to even view my account.

I finally succeeded, not with a thai visa card but with a visa card from my home country,

and it might have been that the site i experimented on was a european ONLY access
