buddy
Hi All, This is the first time this has happened to us and through various reasons Vat was not paid on time on 1 tax invoice and is now late for payment by 1 month. The invoice was for 150,000 Baht plus 7% Vat - 10,500 Baht. Total 160,500 Baht. Question? What are the current penalties for late payment of Vat in Thailand on this invoice? Thanks in advance for any input.

Glegolo I am sorry glegolo but i haven't a clue what you are talking about? It is 1 invoice. I believe you weren't very clear in your OP: Did you not pay the VAT (of THB 10,500) on your outgoing invoice to the revenue department, or did you pay an incoming invoice (of THB 150,000 plus VAT) without paying the VAT? onthemoon
Hi onthemoon, Apologies if my original post was not clear. What happened is I didn't pay the vat of 10,500 Baht. . Then pay it and report back what happened! I'd think you'll get fined, but the longer you wait the worse it will get. buddy
Dont sweat , around 3% percent of the vat if memory serves me right Hi N47HAN, Can you please confirm that figure of 3%?
N47HAN
Sry didnt get back. The 3 percent is a fine of the vat that is late. Ie 1,000thb vat bill will incure a fine of 30thb within one month of being late. ( the percent maybe out +- 1% ) . However guess youve paid the vat now. How did it go ?
