Recommended satellite / cable tv options- Pattaya

Featured Replies

Moving to Pattaya shortly and considering tv coverage.

Appreciate some local knowledge given the various options in the area and costs

Following channels desired

- EPL (only CTH or any alternatives?)

- Fox Sports/ESPN (only True or other alternatives?)

- Setanta (rugby internationals)

- Golf Channel

- cricket (possible via astro?)

- Thai tv (for the gf)

- English news/discovery type channels (lower priority than other options above)

HD quality desired where possible.

In Mabprachan area.

What is typical broadband speed available/cost? May consider streaming some tv but would prefer HD quality if possible for live sport

And any suggestions for similar up in Kalasin welcome too wai.gif

I have TrueVisions gold package which have many HD channels but not many of which you are looking for.

The only sport channels I am watching is F1 but I noticed a lot of Golf stuff.

Expensive at about 16K baht per year think.

I also have Banglamung cable TV (free because I use I-net from them) but no HD channels and not a very good selection of interesting channels.

Now I just came across CTH which seems interesting and a promotion package deal for 600 baht per month, hmm maybe time to change.
