DTAC change to Trinet

Featured Replies

Is anyone else having major issues with DTAC since their change to Trinet? When they first rolled over I lost service completely, couldnt make any phone calls, couldnt surf the web, even after multiple restarts as their text messages said. I brought my phone in and they said I lost my APN, so they programmed it back in and I had service at the Lotus on super highway. I went home, 1km away, and had no service again... I used to have perfect service at home, now I have nothing at all. Service is super spotty all over the city now for me.

Whats really strange is my girlfriend, who has the same phone plan as me, never got upgraded to Trinet, and her phone is working as good as ever... We sit side by side, I cant even call the service center, and she has full bars and surfing facebook all day.

I noticed when I go to mobile networks on our phones, she is on dtac, and I am on DTAC. I switched mine to dtac and it says I'm roaming, and I get full bars, so I emable roaming and data roaming on my phone, but it will only allow me to make "emergency calls only".

Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem, or if anyone has found a solution. Tech centers are almost no help, although I didnt bring up the DTAC dtac thing to them yet.

I am also curious if they will let me out of my contract since I do not get service at my residence... I know in the civilized world if you dont get service at your residence they will let you out free of charge. Ive wanted to switch to AIS for a while, and now seems better than ever. My AIS air card is about 10x faster than my phone, and always has amazing reception. The same plan with AIS is only about 100 baht more expensive than DTAC.

I was on DTAC prepaid for internet connection. After Trinet came along DTAC EDGE connection really sucks !

No longer with them for internet because i dont want to sign a contract and be locked into it.

Theres a thread about Trinet in the computer and internet forum , check it out.

I have had a contract with AIS since 2000--and I also have a DTAC PAYG sim--I would never switch fully to DTAC--even with the slight aftertaste of a Shinawatra I still prefer AIS.
